How can I give a beautiful-looking top quality lifetime roofing system that won’t have any unnecessary extra cost?

This is the primary question that has led to why I use the materials I do and what my installation process is.

• Always protect the house, yard, and property before and during the project.
• Always tear off roofing down to the wood deck.
• Always inspect for loose, rotted, and warped decking, and remedy if a problem is discovered.
• Always inspect the attic; the insulation and ventilation, making sure both are adequate and fully functional. Make recommendations for services always and only if truly necessary.
• Ensure that all bath and kitchen vents are connected to ducting and an appropriate flapper vent.
• Install ice and water shield on the bare roof deck, up from the gutter line, far enough up so it reaches at least 2 ft. inside attic spaces above heated areas of house and garage.
• Install ice and water shield in valleys, around chimneys, and at any other points considered to be vulnerable to leaks.
• Use synthetic underlayment on remaining bare wood deck.
• Use GAF lifetime dimensional shingles and GAF shingle accessories (starter shingles, snow country ridge vent, and cap shingles)
• Always space shingle rows at least 6 inches apart.
• Always fasten on the shingle nailing strip with 4-5 nails (depending on roof pitch), never under or over driven (neglecting this is the most common way a manufacturers warranty is so often voided).
• Using a large rolling magnet, be particularly careful no stray nails are left behind. Leave the house, yard, and property clean and clearly cared for.
• A workmanship warranty that is always stood behind. If installed correctly, there won’t be a problem.
