Why we use a dump trailer instead of a dumpster
Instead of ordering a dumpster, we use a dump trailer that stays up on its wheels. We used dumpsters years ago, and they could damage a driveway — especially an older asphalt one — when the heavy metal box slid off the delivery truck. The dumpster company wouldn’t pay for that damage, so we switched to a dump trailer to avoid the risk entirely.
The Equipter and our tarping system
We also use a specialized machine called an Equipter, which we can drive right around most homes. Its big, wide tires spread the weight out to protect your lawn, and we tear the old roof directly off into it. On top of that, we hang wall tarps to protect your siding, lay down ground tarps to protect landscaping, and use sheets of plywood to shield vulnerable areas.
